Our aim is to provide a competitive return with a moderate level of risk while your super is in our care.
However, it is important to remember that superannuation is a long-term investment. Returns will fluctuate from year-to-year, and past performance is not an indicator of future performance.
The following table shows the investment returns that AUSfund delivered to members.
|Year||Average compound crediting % p.a.|
Actual returns for individual members depend on the dates of entry to and exit from AUSfund. The figures above show the net return to members after deductions for tax on earnings, investment management fees and provision for reserves.
Investment earnings are applied to member accounts at the end of each financial year by informal determination of a crediting rate.
An interim crediting rate is also set each month, and this is applied to a member’s account if they leave during that month.
AUSfund has one diversified investment strategy that aims to produce competitive returns at a moderate level of risk. All investments entail some risk. The performance of the fund is not guaranteed, and there is a possibility of negative returns over some time periods.
To achieve the desired balance between return and risk, AUSfund’s Trustee invests funds in a range of investment types. The following table shows the current targeted spread of investments for AUSfund effective from 1 September 2020.
Risk of return: Medium risk, medium growth.
|Australian fixed interest||23%|
|International fixed interest||23%|
